Introduction
Jaga Sehat is a MedTech initiative aimed at improving adolescent health literacy and access to healthcare. This project was developed as part of the MSIB Batch 3 Independent Study program by Hacktiv8, under the mentorship of Moh. Riansyah, a Product Design Supervisor at ESB and UI/UX Design Lecturer. The case study highlights the design process and solutions crafted to address the challenges faced by teenagers in accessing timely and accurate health consultations.
Research Plan
Roles and Responsibilities | Product Designer - Team Lead |
Duration | 2 Monts (Oct - Nov 2022) |
Overview | Jaga Sehat hopes to help adolescents in increasing their concern for body health by making it easier to access fast and precise health information and services as needed. |
Goals | Help every teenager who has a low level of health knowledge and immune difficulties in the body, then we provide services in real time for online-based health consultations. |
Problem Statement
"Why should someone wait in long queues to consult a doctor?"
This question became the driving force behind Jaga Sehat, which aims to eliminate barriers to healthcare access for adolescents.
Objectives
Research Goals: Enhance adolescent health literacy through innovative features.
User Goals: Simplify the process of online consultations for teenagers.
Business Goals: Increase adoption of health apps among adolescents.

The team employed a combination of surveys and in-depth interviews to gather insights:
Survey: Engaged 35 participants aged 18–26 from urban areas like Bekasi and Bandung to understand their health-check habits and motivations.
Interviews: Explored user behaviors, challenges, and expectations when seeking healthcare services.
Key Insights
55.9% of participants had a health check in the last six months, primarily to monitor their health condition.
Most participants preferred visiting hospitals directly to avoid worsening health conditions.
Adolescents in urban areas showed a growing awareness of health but faced logistical challenges in accessing healthcare.
